RESUME
Born in Haiti, educated in Belgium, Chantal Bethel calls Grand Bahama Island Home. A noted Bahamian painter, she studied at Haliburton school of the arts in Canada. Since 2006 Bethel has extended her artistic vision to sculpture, transforming the crown shaft of the royal palm into a sculptural medium.
Award
2008 Outstanding achievement award for fine art, presented by the Commonwealth of the Bahamas Bureau of women affairs in Grand Bahama. 2007 Bahamar art competition, honorable mention 2001 She was honored by Miami Children Hospital for her support of children issues though art.
