Agonistes – an interactive installation – describes the turmoil during and after the last three hurricanes that hit the Bahamas.

On the heels of her piece “Agonistes” – an emotionally raw installation describing the turmoil during and after the last three hurricanes that hit The Bahamas, she felt impelled to balance the angst by exploring the light after the dark – “the calm after the storm.

Honoring the full spectrum of nature and life, including the raw and emotional aftermath of the last three hurricanes that hit The Bahamas, this video collage of art, music, and poetry written in a “Bantu” form reveals the many hues of both hope and despair, bringing to light myriad definitions of What Paradise is.

In collaboration with multi-media artist Dave Mackey – a former lead guitarist with the Grammy nominated band T-Connection – and award winning poet, Marion Bethel, Chantal e.y. Bethel has created a new multi-media exploration: Colors of Paradise.  Bethel describes the work as “a metaphor which led me to explore the idea of Paradise”.
