ARTIST STATEMENT

My art is a poetic and deeply personal response to existence.  As an artist, I am enticed to capture moods and emotions as well as the complexities and subtleties of human experience.

My sculptural forms are created out of the crown shaft of the Royal Palm tree - a piece of nature.  The challenge for me is to give these primitive forms humanist content.

The process is a spiritual and intuitive one where nature, our state of being and universal consciousness are connected
